Timeline

Our History

2014

Our CEO Vincent leaves PE firm Summit Partners to build Orbit. He is joined by Mathieu who leads our global commercial efforts today.

2015

Orbit completes its first deal mandates and immediately operates on a pan-European basis.

2016

Orbit successfully executes its first US mandate.

2017

Orbit has worked on over 100 transactions since inception.

2018

Orbit needs more space and moves to its current office in Fitzrovia, London.

2019

Orbit accelerates its US expansion with a fully dedicated team.

2020

Despite COVID-19 Orbit executes close to 400 exclusive deal mandates in 2020 and partners with Charity BEAM

2021

Orbit moves to its current New York office in Midtown Manhattan and starts operations in Asia.

2022

Orbit delivers another record year with close to 700 deal mandates.

2023

Orbit now operates across Europe, the US and Asia and continues to scale its operations.

As part of our CSR strategy, we are proud to be actively partnering with Impetus in the UK and Youth INC in the US, both venture philanthropy organisations that back over 120 charities supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in school, in work and in life. Each of these organisations finds, builds and funds high potential charities, providing unrestricted core funding, support and access to a vast pro-bono network of professionals, to create positive impact for underserved communities.

In addition, we have crafted an engagement programme for our team members with charities focusing on building confidence and creating opportunities for disadvantaged young people, through mentoring, sports and social enterprise, notably Football Beyond Borders in the UK and South Bronx United in the US.
